leader Daryl D. Parks officially announced his candidacy for mayor during a campaign kickoff
event at Parkview at Cascades.

“I am honored to stand here today as I launch my candidacy for Tallahassee mayor,” Parks said.
“Our city is ready for a new direction. Public trust has eroded, and restoring it requires
measurable accountability and open, honest governance.”

Parks, a nationally respected attorney and successful businessman, emphasized that his vision for
the city is built on clear priorities and transparent communication. He stated that his background
as a longtime community leader makes him uniquely prepared to lead Florida’s capital city.

Running on a platform of building a stronger, more inclusive future, Parks highlighted his
personal journey from humble beginnings to national recognition. He credited his success to a

ensuring every resident has a fair shot at success,” Parks said. “My vision focuses on lowering
costs for families and creating opportunities for the next generation, but bold ideas require a
foundation of functional government. We must shift away from political noise and symbolic
conflict toward practical governance focused on measurable results.”

Parks described the city as being at a critical “turning point,” directly addressing voter frustration
with political division and years of stagnation. Highlighting his experience as a business owner
and job creator, Parks underscored his background in managing payroll and growth for
operations that supported approximately 150 families. He noted that the city needs leaders who
understand how to build opportunity rather than just discussing it.

Parks’ platform includes a bold economic vision centered on diversifying the city’s economy. He
urged Tallahassee to move beyond its traditional identity as a “government and university town”
to embrace its potential as a “city of innovation.”
